This is updated regularly, but please don't shoot the messenger if someone beats you to a particular lamp!
Bright red non-flashing lights make this an absolute beacon of gorgeous light! The leather bolo has metal, stone and glass beads to add that extra spark of pow!
What can you say about the most iconic Christmas character since Santa? Some consider him more of a year-round Spirit Animal than a December-only-item ...
"Bram Stoker's Dracula"was a favorite, and these Funko Pop dolls are just too cute to resist. It's not shown in this picture, but the Count also has a little wolf ... just like the one in the movie.
An absolutely iconic bourbon, complete with its horsey topper, mounted on a wooden box. The box, of course, hides the battery pack (warm white lights, multi-flashing functions, and a timer). This is a conversation starter!!
Is there a more handsome tequila bottle out there? Don Julio needs little help, so all he gets is a fabulous battery-operated light string with remote and timer, and a few gold cabochon bead outlines!
This handsome fellow has a fabulous multi-function blue light string with remote and timer! His back is painted blue to better reflect those glorious lights, and there are blue enamel butterflies decorating the base and sides!
These two are regal in size ... nearly 14" tall! They have remote control cool white lights with a timer, and provide the most GORGEOUS glow at night.
Love the asymmetrical shapes, the leather neck wraps, and especially the multicolored, remote control, battery-operated, timer light strings! The roses are pretty awesome, too.
Another American Classic with gorgeous blue multi-function lights (remote and timer, too)! The beautiful mountain topper and the tiny horseshoe decorations on the base bring Tennessee to the forefront!
One of my very favorite lamps ... because it's not just a hilarious Funko Pop Luchadore Deadpool ... it's a BOBBLEHEAD!!! In Spanish, he's called "El Chimichanga de la Muerte" ... "The Chimichanga of Death" ... bwahahahaha!!!
I believe deeply in the mood-altering properties of light and shadow because a bit of shine will ALWAYS improve my view of the world.
Lamps are functional items, but they can also represent metaphorical things: Truth; Safety; Home.
And I enjoy having the chance to add beauty to purpose ... while working with sparkly stuff!!
I chose glass bottles for obvious reasons: Inside them, all that lovely light can be colored, bent, shaped, and decorated to change its consistency, its intensity, and its mood.
And if that sounds pretentious, then maybe they're just bright and shiny and fun. That works, too!
I grew up in Canada, but have somehow developed a deep and abiding love for the harsh and glorious austerity of the Desert Southwest. The intense colors, the dust storms, the crazy-bright cactus flowers with their mayfly-short lives ... it all just works for me ... and I like to share it with others. If a lamp does nothing more than make you smile, then it's served its purpose!
